CoordiMate - The Graph Maker

I wish I had this when I was attending school, it would have definitely kept my math work cleaner and easier to read. I would recommend this to anyone still attending school, and or as a gift for anyone going to start school soon, this will last them their years in school. With around 5,000 impressions from the self inking stamp one is all you need!

About this project

Invented by A Math Student
A couple of years ago, while doing my math homework, I thought of an idea that would help make the process of solving graphing problems a lot easier and much more accurate. I wanted to create a tool that could produce a Cartesian graph with the push of a button, as an alternative to redrawing it over and over again.
My motivation to create such a tool came not only from my experience as a math student, but also from seeing my fellow classmates doing their work. I began to carefully study my classmates homework and taking note of what characteristics they have in common. What type of paper do they use to do their math home work on? What size graph do they draw? How important are aesthetics to my fellow classmates? Would such a tool be useful to them? Would they use it? After conducting some data collection I felt confident that there was indeed a need for such a tool.
After my calculus Professor, Mr. Don Murray, took five minutes out of lecture time to give a speech on the importance of accuracy while doing graphing problems, my decision to bring this tool to life was solidified.
What I thought would be a fairly simple tool to create quickly turned out to be anything but. I wanted it to be neat looking, reliable, user friendly and most importantly, functional. I quickly realized I would have to team up with the right people in order to bring my vision to life.
I contacted a good childhood friend, Chen, who had recently graduated college as an industrial designer and we soon began to bring our product to life. We called it "CoordiMate" (a fusion of the word "Coordinate" and "Mate"). Soon after embarking on our project we teamed up with another good friend, Barak, who brought years of product development and marketing experience to the table.
After developing five Prototype iterations of CoordiMate, we finally had a product in our hands which met our desired quality and reliability standards. We have already sourced a reliable manufacturer and are now ready to share CoordiMate with the world.

  1. I love your work and the enthusiasm with which you have adjusted to life in Hawaii. I'm sure a lot of people wouldn't have been able to ease in to the flow of things as quickly, but then you're a wanderer at heart! Hope you find more time to paint - you produce such masterpieces. Cheers!
